Sewing

Product description

To "bind" traditionally meant "to hold together" and this usually incorporated sewing of some sort. Unlike many modern bookbinders, we still sew books. We can sew individual leaves together or folded sections and have a variety of machines to do this as well as of course, by hand. Techniques are oversewing, Cleat sewing. heavy duty section sewing with up to .20 gauge thread and normal section sewing with .40 gauge, Singer side sewing, Japanese sewing and so on.
