Initially these boxes were made overseas but the client was unhappy with the quality and asked us to replace them. The inside cloth we printed to their supplied tartan design. The red cotton cloth we had flown in specifically for their requirements. Foam insert was CNC routed and flocked. Foil stamped in fine detail. A quality box speaks heaps about a client as does a shoddy one.

How can I submit my thesis for printing and binding?
You can submit your thesis in one of two ways. The first option is to bring your printed pages to us directly. We will assist you with the binding requirements and complete the binding process for you. Once the binding is done, you can either collect your thesis in person, or we can arrange for it to be mailed or couriered to you. Please ensure that the grain of the paper runs in the same direction as the spine, as this is essential for the durability and finish of the final product.
Alternatively, you can use our convenient online automated process. This option allows you to generate a quote quickly and submit your order with minimal effort. The only requirement is that your document must be in PDF format—Word documents are not accepted. Once received, we will print and bind your thesis. As with the in-person option, you may choose to collect it yourself or have it mailed or couriered to your preferred address.
What type of paper and binding do you use?
We use acid-free paper that is certified as carbon neutral and sourced from sustainable forests. Our binding process is professional and durable—each book is sewn and carefully rounded and backed to ensure it opens smoothly and lies flat when in use. We do not use square-backed books, which are less flexible and durable over time.
What binding finishes are available?
Our leather-bound theses are gilded on the edges for an elegant and professional finish. If you are looking for something more distinctive, we also offer marbled edge finishes at an additional cost. Examples of both gilded and marbled bindings can be viewed on our website and through our Instagram posts to help you make your selection.
Do you offer any discounts for multiple copies?
Yes, we offer a special discount for multiple hardcover copies submitted online. After the fourth hardcover thesis in the same order, you will receive a 20% discount on any additional copies. You are welcome to experiment with the quantities using our online calculator to see how much you can save.
